ProPower Peel Questions and Answers
Your full participation during and after the ProPower Peel treatment will determine the outcome. It is important that you strictly adhere to the post-care products and regimen that your professional skin therapist has recommended. It is possible to have a poor reaction or less-than-expected improvement of the skin. No guarantee is made or implied regarding your precise results, peeling times or discomfort.
After treatment you may experience some tightening of the skin, which may last for several days. Light flaking may begin within 1-3 days and will usually subside within 7-10 days; however, it is impossible to predict this shedding process.
Apply sunscreen protection (minimum SPF30) daily following treatment.
Follow the prescribed post-care instructions
Avoid direct sun for 2-3 weeks.
Do not wax or use any type of exfoliating products for 72 hours, or until your skin shows no signs of sensitivity on the treated area.
Do not pick or peel at scabs, blisters or loose skin, as scarring may occur.
Avoid excessive heat sources (such as sun exposure or dry saunas and steam rooms).
Avoid strenuous exercise or any activity that could lead to increased blood circulation to the face for 24 hours following treatment. (This can cause an increased warming effect, which could result in discomfort, redness, inflammation, swelling or other side effects.)

When can I expect to see results?
Results will depend on your skin condition and how frequently you receive ProPower Peel treatments. As with any skin care regimen, results can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to show, as this is how long it takes for the skin to renew itself.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my ProPower Peel treatments?
It is good practice to discontinue the use of prescribed exfoliants at least 48 hours prior, and during Pro Power Peel treatments.
What is the downtime associated with a BioActive Peel treatment?
ProPower Peel is especially designed to deliver all the benefits of a chemical peel without the scarring and downtime.
How do I care for my skin post peel?
You will be given products to use on your skin for the three days following your peel. You should increase your water in take in the days following your peel as well as avoid physical exertion for 24 hours post peel. In the 2-3 weeks following your peel, you should avoid direct sunlight, wear a daily sunscreen of 30SPF or higher, as well as wear a wide brim hat if going in the sun is necessary. These precautions are to prevent hyperpigmentation.

I’m pregnant. Can I receive ProPower Peel treatments?
